We recommend the material the wall actually wants. Wood is familiar, easy to modify, and right wherever cabinets, shelving, or TV mounts need solid bite. Steel arrives dead straight, ignores humidity, and never interests a termite — a real consideration in Leon County, where wood-destroying organisms show up on half the inspection reports. Many of our conversion and build-out projects go hybrid: steel for the runs, wood blocking where fixtures need anchoring.
